The Transdiagnostic Research Lab, directed by
Dr. Christopher Fairholme, conducts research on the nature and treatment of anxiety and depression. This research is conducted from a transdiagnostic perspective, which seeks to understand and address high rates of comorbidity among anxiety and depressive disorders by identifying and treating common processes. One line of research involves the identification and evaluation of potential transdiagnostic processes underlying anxiety and depressive disorders, such as anxiety sensitivity, emotion dysregulation, and sleep deficiency. A second line of research focuses on enhancing the treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders by targeting common processes with an eye towards enhanced dissemination and implementation.
